Speaking at the final news conference of the G8 Agriculture Ministers' Meeting, Minister Zaia reiterated the goals set out at the summit. The ministers, who met at Cison di Valmarino, agree to consider farming and food security as being issues of central importance on the international agenda. Adopting more effective measures to combat malnutrition in the world in an effort to increase both the quantity and the quality of food, remains one of the priorities identified in the meeting's final document.
