The video begins with a presentation of the G8 logo. The camera zooms further and further in from a planisphere: Italy, then Sardinia, then La Maddalena. Aerial shots of the Arsenal then alternate with historical documentary photos in black and white. The camera then pans over the new amenities and the island’s new skyline. The footage also shows the “Fantasia,” the ship chartered to accommodate the guests.
The focus shifts lastly to Olbia and the facilities intended to house the press. The video closes with a return to the planisphere shot and, lastly, to the G8 logo containing it.
