Development Ministers' Meeting in Rome from 11 to 12 June - Media Information
The Meeting of Development Ministers Meeting, enlarged to include the principal emerging economies and the relevant international bodies, will be taking place at the Foreign Ministry in Rome on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 June under the Italian G8 Presidency.
The event is entitled: G8 Development Ministers’ Meeting: Global Governance for Global Solidarity. Information on the content of the event is available at the Italian G8 Presidency Portal G8 www.g8italia2009.it and on the Foreign Ministry’s web site www.esteri.it
Press Programme
Thursday 11 June
• Video opportunity in the International Conference Room at 09.00. It will be possible to photograph and film the start of the proceedings - tour de table of G8 countries and EU representatives. Camera operators wishing to attend should report to the Press Accreditation Office from 08.00 and no later than 08.45.
• Family photo, G8 and European Union format, at 10.45.
Friday 12 June
• Video opportunity in the International Conference Room at 09.30 (enlarged format Plenary Session). Camera operators wishing to attend should report to the Press Accreditation Office from 08.00 and no later than 09.00.
• Family photo, enlarged format with international organisations at 11.30. Journalists and camera operators wishing to attend should report to the Press Accreditation Office from 10.30 and no later than 11.15.
• Press conference at close of event at 12.00. Journalists and camera operators wishing to attend should report to the Press Accreditation Office from 10.30 and no later than 10.30.
In view of the limited space available, it may be necessary to operate a pool system for the video opportunities.
Accreditation Procedure
The accreditation procedure for journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event is closed.
Accreditation badges can be collected in person upon presentation of a valid ID at the Accreditation Office located at the Via Macchia della Farnesina entrance (Ponte Milvio side) according to the following schedule:
- Thursday 11 June from 08.00 to 10.30
- Friday 12 June from 08.00 to 12.00
